With one of the deeper Pangos All West Frosh/Soph Camps that we’ve seen in recent memory, founder Dinos Trigonis put together a group of 160 talented players from the classes of 2029 and 2030 that had my notebook quickly filling up. We touched on 2029 prospects such as Anthony Sarkesian, Blake Poole, Benard Kudah, Benjamin Davies on opening night. From there, we evaluated Turic Gol Chol, Phil Reed Jr., Kaleb Banfield, and Roman Felix on the camp’s final day. International prospects Benjamin Kudah and AJ Jabateh also left lasting impressions at Pangos.
Digging deeper into the class of 2029, there were countless other prospects who made their mark with their play at Pangos. Here’s an in-depth look at six more sophomore prospects who shined at the 2026 Pangos All West Frosh/Soph Camp:
Semaj Cuyler, 6’4″, PG/SG, CIA Bella Vista (Ariz.), 2029
Getting it done from either backcourt spot, Semaj Cuyler was one of the better combo guards that Pangos had to offer. The natural scorer showed off deep range, absorbed contact any time that he got into the paint, and showed nice court vision when facilitating for others. Having already won a state title in New York, Cuyler carried over his winning intangibles to defending EYBL Scholastic champ CIA Bella Vista.
Nico Micelli, 6’7″, SF/PF, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (Cal.), 2029
As far as numbers were concerned, there may not have been anyone who had a better Pangos All West Frosh/Soph Camp than Nico Micelli. The versatile combo forward used his strong frame to punish smaller defenders, got buckets inside and out, and was one of the more consistent rebounders in Long Beach.
In fact, Micelli posted averages of 29.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game while shooting 46.7% from three. Micelli put up great numbers with All In Elite in the Under Armour Association and has already earned DI offers prior to his sophomore campaign.
Judah Van Ewijk, 6’2″, PG, Archbishop Riordan (Cal.), 2029
A lead guard with size, Judah Van Ewijk got it done in every way imaginable at Pangos. The two-way guard created separation off the bounce, finished in traffic with both hands, and brought forth serious effort on the defensive end. Holding a half dozen DI offers, Van Ewijk is one of the more promising 2029 prospects in Northern California.
Quentin Graham, 6’6″, SF, Long Beach Poly (Cal.), 2029
A player I hadn’t seen leading into the event, Quentin Graham made an immediate impact with his performance on Sunday. The strong swingman excels playing through contact, is automatic from midrange, and knows how to use his size against smaller defenders. Getting ready to play his first year of varsity hoops, Graham will continue building off a great summer in the Under Armour Association with All In Elite and an all-star performance at Pangos.
Dawoud Manigat, 6’6″, SF, CIA Bella Vista (Ariz.), 2029
A swingman with size, Dawoud Manigat continues to show outstanding growth in his game leading into his sophomore campaign. The lefty showed off a fluid shot out to the 3-point line, can make you pay with straight-line drives, and is just scratching the surface of the prospect he can become. Having already won a state title at Cleveland power Lutheran East, Manigat looks to help CIA Bella Vista to another EYBL Scholastic crown this high school season.
Jerrell Copeland, 6’5″, SG/SF, So Cal Academy (Cal.), 2029
Even though he didn’t put up huge numbers statistically, the pure talent that Jerrell Copeland brings to the table was evident at Pangos. He defended virtually every position on the court at times, was great as a facilitator, and made plays on both ends with his athleticism.
One of the best Class of 2029 prospects in New Mexico, the versatile Copeland made the move to So Cal Academy, where his ability to interchange positions on both ends will allow him to contribute immediately.
