INDIANAPOLIS—The Indiana Fever pulled off a thrilling 110-107 victory over the Seattle Storm behind a historic performance from Caitlin Clark.

A combined 75 points came from Clark and Kelsey Mitchell guided the Fever (15-10) to its fifth win over the last seven games. Mitchell caught fire early with 17 first-quarter points but by the end of the night it was Clark who stole the spotlight, finishing with a career-high 45 points while leading Indiana to one of its biggest wins of the season.
History made tonight from Caitlin Clark
She set MULTIPLE milestones in her career, which also resulted in the @IndianaFever dub. Let’s recap the NEW accolades:

Clark Rewrites The Record Books
On top of her historic scoring performance, Clark recorded a double-double with 10 assists while adding four steals.
The Fever guard became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 200 career three-pointers, the first player in league history to record 40 or more points and 10 or more assists in a game, and the first player in franchise history to score 45 or more points in a single contest. The famous 45 also set a Fever franchise record in a single game, passing the 38 that Mitchell earned on separate occasions in 2019 and 2025.
Whether it was knocking down deep three-pointers, creating opportunities for teammates or making key defensive plays, Clark impacted every area of the game. With Aliyah Boston unavailable, Indiana needed its superstar guard to take on a larger offensive role and she responded with one of the most memorable performances of her WNBA career.
Finding Her Rhythm After Injury
The significance of Clark’s performance went beyond the numbers. After dealing with multiple injuries that interrupted her season and forced her to work her way back into a rhythm, Friday night’s performance showcased the patience, preparation and belief required to return to the level fans have become accustomed to seeing.
Speaking after the game, Clark opened up about the challenges of finding her footing again after time away from the court.
“It’s like one of the hardest things coming back from injury, being out of the groove, and you know having time off,” Clark said. “You just have to kind of continue to believe in yourself and believe in the work you put in.”
For Clark, the road back was not just about getting healthy physically but also rebuilding the confidence and timing that comes with being on the court consistently. After navigating setbacks throughout the season, she delivered a reminder of the game-changing impact she can have when she is playing with confidence and freedom.
A Special Night
For Clark, Friday night’s performance wasn’t entirely unexpected.
“I feel like some nights, like you know you have it, and even before the ball tips, and I know like it was going to be one of those for me,” Clark said. “I thought this was like a good opportunity for me to come out and be aggressive early, and I also knew my team needed that, especially with AB out.”
Clark backed up that confidence from the opening minutes, helping Indiana keep pace early before taking over offensively as the game progressed. Every time the Fever needed a basket, Clark seemed to have an answer.
Clark’s 45-point night was not built on one aspect of her game. The Fever guard controlled the game in every way imaginable, forcing Seattle to defend her from nearly every spot on the floor. When defenders pressed up to stop the three-point shot, Clark attacked the basket. When help defense collapsed, she found open teammates. Early on in the first half, she was aggressive in the paint, getting to the free throw line. At the same time, she was getting mid-range looks that were falling.
Well since some are upset at Caitlin Clark defensive play on Flau’Jae, be mad at the ref, not her then. The ref wasn’t even in position to know if it was a foul or not. Ya know, the same refs yall feel bad for when Caitlin is going at them.

Defense Plays A Factor
Everybody looks at Clark’s offensive game, and people like to critique her defense being her biggest flaws. Clark proved doubters wrong on Friday night, securing one of the biggest stops of the close clontest.
With 54.9 seconds in the fourth quarter, Clark had a momentum swinging defensive play against Storm guard Flau’jae Johnson on a fast break. What would have resulted in a layup turned into Clark stripping the ball away without a foul being called. The defensive stop allowed the Fever to push the ball down for Clark to shoot the go-ahead three, one that put Indiana ahead for good.
At the end of the game, Clark recorded four steals and two blocks, a rare stat line from a guard. However, each defensive play from Clark helped the Fever win this game.
Stephanie White Praises Clark’s Performance
Fever head coach Stephanie White offered proper props for Clark’s historic outing, whose scoring effort is tied for the second-best in the WNBA this season.
“It’s incredible, I mean, it’s special. You know she does things that we haven’t seen,” White said. “You know in the moment it’s surreal to see. You look down at the stat sheet, and I’m looking at different numbers. I look down at the stat sheet at the end of the game, and it’s like … 45 and 10. I mean, just incredible, just absolutely incredible performance.”
Clark’s performance is what Indiana needed to see hope in the season. The noise surrounding head coach White and Clark is loud but on Friday it was all about basketball and how the Fever was able to pull out a victory.
“Just greatness right here.”

Teammates Witness Greatness
Clark’s performance left an impression on everyone inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse, including her teammates.
One word to describe the night was greatness, as Makayla Timpson said it best when asked what it was like watching Clark put together another remarkable performance.
“Just greatness right here, you know. And she does some crazy stuff out there on the court man. You know of course the signature logo threes, the way she can get to her shots, and just being able to, you know, set her screens and get her open. We trust her so much here on the Fever. I mean she’s just a great player overall.”
A Statement Performance For The Fever
While the record books will remember Clark’s 45 points, this performance represented something much bigger for Indiana. With Boston unavailable and the Fever facing a talented Storm team, Indiana needed its franchise player to take control and Clark delivered and then some.
From the opening minutes, Clark played with confidence, aggression and the ability to impact the game in every way. She didn’t just score, she created for her teammates, made plays defensively, and carried Indiana through one of its biggest tests of the season.
In a night filled with records and milestones, Clark reminded the basketball world of the level she is capable of reaching when healthy and in rhythm. Her career-high performance was more than a historic box score, it was a statement that she has the talent to be one of the most dynamic and game-changing players in the WNBA.
