2026 USA Basketball Fall Mini-Camp: Upperclassmen Vie for Summer Slots

The 2026 USA Basketball Fall Mini-Camp has now come and gone. The four sessions that USAB put on in Colorado Springs offered no shortage of intensity and instruction, while also serving as an ideal evaluation opportunity for NBA scouts and media alike. The event culminated with two sessions on Championship Sunday, and many players left it all on the floor for their opportunity to don the stars and stripes next summer in FIBA play.

We took a look at five-star ’27 point guards Reese Alston and Beckham Black, power wing Malachi Jordan, and top-10 2028 prospects Benji Berrouet, Erick Dampier Jr., and Colton Hiller in our introductory piece on the upperclassmen. Here is a look at six more members of the class of 2027 and 2028 who starred on the final day of the 2026 USA Basketball mini-camp:

DeMarcus Henry, 6’7″, SG/SF, AZ Compass Prep (Ariz.), 2027

DeMarcus Henry is a smooth swingman who just keeps getting better.  The lefty was absolutely relentless when he had the ball in his hands, shot it well from the perimeter, and showed his explosive athleticism on straight-line drives.

The NBA-style game that Henry offers not only makes him a joy to watch for fans and scouts alike, but also shows how his game will translate at the next level.

CJ Rosser, 6’10”, SF, Southeastern Prep (Fla.), 2027

The top player in the class of 2027 in my eyes, CJ Rosser really put it all together on the final day of the USA Basketball mini-camp.  The jumbo wing is starting to utilize his size on both ends of the court, is willing to post smaller defenders, and is becoming an increasingly reliable 3-point shooter with his feet set.

The pure talent that the Team United product has is undeniable, and when his level of aggression picks up, there isn’t a better prospect in the class of 2027.

Blaze Johnson, 6’4″, PG, Dynamic Prep (Tex.), 2028

After playing last year at Overtime Elite, many national analysts forgot how special a talent Blaze Johnson is, and he reminded everyone that he’s still that guy in Colorado Springs.

The bouncy lead guard plays with outstanding pace, is a freakish finisher at the rim with both hands, and can get his 3-point shots off in a hurry when spotting up. Staying in the OTE league, Blaze and Benji Berrouet will spearhead a new-look Dynamic Prep squad for 2026-27.

Mason Collins, 6’6″, SG/SF, Tatnall School (Del.), 2028

One of the most polished players in the class of 2028, Mason Collins brings you a little bit of everything on the hardwood. The versatile guard is an underrated playmaker, plays with an outstanding IQ (especially as a cutter and decision-maker), and has shown that he can be a scoring threat when needed.

The son of former New York Knicks point guard (and current Tatnall School coach) Mardy Collins, Mason definitely has the tools to follow in his father’s footsteps as a big guard.

Ahmad Hudson, 6’7″, PF, Ruston HS (Lou.), 2027

The most powerful player at USA Basketball was undoubtedly Ahmad Hudson, a gritty power forward out of Louisiana. Simply a freak athlete, Hudson was one of the best cutters that the mini-camp had to offer, was a constant presence on the offensive glass, and brought infectious energy with his toughness.

The dedication that the nation’s No. 1 tight end has on the hardwood can’t be ignored, as he hopped on a plane right after a Thursday night game to make it to Colorado Springs to lace ’em up on the hardwood at USAB.

Chase Branham, 6’4″, SG, La Lumiere (Ind.), 2027

As far as coming off screens was concerned, there wasn’t anyone better in Colorado Springs than Chase Branham. The Indiana recruit was great shooting on the move in either direction, was quick getting into his shot prep, and was outstanding getting to his shot off of dribble handoffs.

Branham’s ability as an elite floor spacer will be essential for both La Lumiere in EYBL Scholastic and the Hoosiers at the collegiate level.
