New Balance P32 Dallas: Stock Risers

The NCAA spring live period was rewarding for many players. With the NCAA putting in even more restrictions to hinder high school players, D-1 coaches were only permitted to come out one weekend the entire spring to watch players on the travel ball circuit. As a result, teams filled out their rosters through the transfer portal while a plethora of talented, unsigned seniors remain available. That changed nationally after the live period, and we took in the best that New Balance had to offer in their P32 League.

Held at the gorgeous Children’s Health StarCenter Northlake in Dallas, the P32 brought all of its finest AAU teams and also hosted the Revorecruit JUCO Showcase as part of the P32 experience. Former NBA Champion/McDonald’s All American Quinn Cook was in the building supporting DC Assault, while NBA champ Marreese Speights coached Team Speights. Jeff McInnis ran the show for Team Charlotte, and NBA all-stars Jamal Murray and Darius Garland were on the bench with their respective teams. Over 100 D-1 programs were in the building throughout the weekend, and no shortage of scholarships were earned.

Having already examined the top 2027, elite 2028, and the event’s overall top performers, here are six players who really raised their stock in the eyes of college coaches at the Dallas New Balance P32:

AJ Burdine, 6’6, SG/SF, Max Levels Elite Dallas 17U, 2027

Playing with much more assertiveness than when I saw him in Memphis, AJ Burdine had all of the tools that you look for out of a big time prospect and was putting them together at P32 Dallas. The big-time athlete is also a serious shooter with his feet set, lets the game come to him, and shut the entire gym down with the dunk of the weekend. Burdine is just scratching the surface of the player that he could become down the road, but fits the physical mold that college coaches dream of in a bigger swingman.

Rashard Lewis Jr., 6’2, PG, Rashard Lewis Academy 16U, 2028

While I had not seen the younger Lewis before, I heard there was a second coming and while he may not be his father (6-foot-10 former NBA All-Star and 1998 Mr. Basketball USA Rashard Lewis)’s height now, that’s not to say that he couldn’t get there eventually.  The athletic lead guard stole the show with a 32-point showing that showcased his ability to finish once he got downhill, shot the ball well from the corners when playing off the ball, and could facilitate once the defense collapsed. Rashard definitely has all of the makings of a late bloomer that has the potential to skyrocket up the 2028 rankings.

Mike Broxton Jr., 6’9, PF/C, Team Speights 17U, 2026

In today’s transfer portal era, some players are just hidden in plain sight.  Mike Broxton Jr. is one of those guys. The powerful big man changed the game with his length/athleticism, played with a motor, and even stepped out to hit a 3-pointer. A dual sport athlete at nearly 6-foot-10 (he is a football prospect as well), Broxton Jr. is looking for a program that will allow him to play both sports at the next level.

Heaven Chea, 6’1, PG, Perseverance 16U, 2028

A well known name out of Seattle, Heven Chea made the move to Cali for his sophomore high school campaign, but is back repping the 205 with Perseverance in the New Balance P32. An elite isolation scorer, Chea exhibited excellent timing on his crossover, was great rejecting screens, and showed great touch on his finishes once he got into the paint. Chea already holds D-1 offers and will be adding more from programs looking to add a scoring lead guard to their roster.

Teron Watts Jr., 6’4, SG, Houston Defenders 17U, 2028

Another outstanding two way guard, Teron Watts did not back down against anyone put in front of him playing up at the New Balance P32. The uber athletic junior was on a mission once he got going straight line to the rim, looked to dunk everything, and embraced guarding all three perimeter positions. Already owning mid-major offers, Watts has the potential to go much higher as he continues to improve the consistency of his jump shot.

Jaylen Mason, 6’3, SG, DC Assault 15U, 2029

A power guard, Jaylen Mason was the most productive player that we saw for DC Assault’s 15U. He got into the lane at will, finished through contact, and showed outstanding court vision once he collapsed the defense. The Fayetteville product already holds a Tennessee State offer as a freshman, but there will be many more to follow if he continues playing at this rate in the P32.
