Donald Trump’s latest mishap was caught from the one angle he probably didn’t want anyone studying.
For weeks, viewers have questioned the 80-year-old president’s new look, as his famous mane looks noticeably different.
However, one brutal snapshot exposed something Trump may have hoped would stay hidden — until the internet zoomed in.
The president’s hair has become an unexpected source of fascination online in recent weeks, with social media users scrutinizing everything from its changing volume to whether Trump has quietly added a little extra help up top.
Now another unguarded angle has given the internet something new to talk about.
Trump was seen turning away from reporters and walking toward Marine One in what should have been an unremarkable presidential departure.
But as the cameras followed him from behind, viewers quickly zeroed in on the crown of his head.
A video shared on Aug. 11 appeared to show a noticeably lighter, thinning patch near the back of Trump’s head. MeidasTouch later reposted a freeze-frame that put the spot front and center.
“Missed a spot,” read one comment, seemingly taking aim at Trump’s hair styling, coloring or bronzer.

The replies quickly turned into a roast.
“Should have stuck with the wig,” one person tweeted. Another person wrote, “That’s not a spot. That’s a gap of baldness.” A third comment joked, “If Trump sees this, he’s going to wig out.”
Viewers who noticed Trump’s changed appearance in recent weeks asked, “Has he quit wearing the toupee already?!”
Others noticed something even stranger about the exposed area on his head.
“And it’s in the shape of a heart. Who did that? He doesn’t have a heart,” one person wondered.

Ironically, the comment came after a Reuters image previously captured Trump from behind during his July NATO press conference.
The perfectly timed close-up showed a similar thin, almost heart-shaped patch around his crown — just as Trump turned his back to the room.
The jokes follow several recent appearances that put Trump’s famous mane under the microscope.
Before a Las Vegas event last Wednesday, wind lifted his hair at the airport, exposing more scalp. Hours later, he emerged with a fuller-looking head of hair, leaving social media wondering how it changed so fast.

As the week went on, so did comparisons between Trump’s increasingly voluminous hair and Robin Williams’ “Mrs. Doubtfire” character.
By the time Trump appeared at LIV Golf New York in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Aug. 9, there was considerably less for internet detectives to examine. He wore a white 47 hat that kept the crown of his head covered.
Still, the Marine One footage wasn’t the first awkward camera angle to expose what Trump’s carefully arranged hairstyle usually conceals.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt defended Trump’s dramatically different look while at Red Rock Casino. “Lighting is everything,” she said.
Trump’s hair has long raised questions. His former physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, revealed in 2017 that Trump took finasteride for hair loss. Former White House physician Ronny Jackson confirmed Trump was still taking it a year later.
The speculation reached a surreal peak during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Jimmy Fallon famously reached across his desk and tousled Trump’s hair during an appearance on “The Tonight Show.” This gave viewers a rare chance to see if the infamous mane was the real deal.
Fallon was later hammered for the playful interview and accused of helping humanize Trump during a bitter presidential campaign.
“It just got bigger and out of control,” Fallon later said of the backlash.

Trump, naturally, fired back, accusing Fallon of “whimpering” and boasting about the “monster ratings” his appearance supposedly delivered.
The fixation on his appearance comes as Trump faces broader scrutiny over signs of aging during his second, nonconsecutive term.
His bruised hands and swollen legs have repeatedly attracted attention in photographs and videos.
Leavitt has attributed the bruising to frequent handshaking and aspirin use. Shortly after, the administration revealed Trump’s diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that can cause swelling in the legs and becomes more common with age.
Then there’s his weight.
Official figures over the years have listed Trump between 224 and 238 pounds, numbers critics have repeatedly questioned based on his appearance. Trump has not confirmed using weight-loss medication, although he has acknowledged that losing some weight probably wouldn’t hurt.
But few subjects surrounding Trump’s appearance have inspired quite as much fascination as his hair.
