Something was off as Donald Trump made his way across the tarmac toward Air Force One. It didn’t take long for cameras to catch exactly what it was.

The 80-year-old president is back on White House grounds after just wrapping up a weekend in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Now, his latest look may have spilled the beans amid suspicions he’s been doing more than golfing this summer.

Trump told reporters he’d had a “great” weekend filled with “many meetings” after traveling on Marine One.

But as he walked toward Air Force One for his flight to Joint Base Andrews, his wardrobe had other plans.

The POTUS seemed to be having a personal fight with his own wardrobe twice. He repeatedly tugged at his clothing, drawing fresh attention to his recent weight gain.

Trump stepped off the plane in his casual golf look: a navy suit, white polo and signature red MAGA hat.

He briefly wrestled with the front of his suit jacket and tried to button it, but the button wouldn’t close.

The second time, he tried pulling the two sides of the jacket together at the same time. When that didn’t work, Trump simply gave up once he noticed the press watching him.

He continued toward the plane with his jacket hanging open, making his recent weight gain increasingly obvious and harder to miss.

The clip spread quickly, with online critics calling it more evidence that he’s packed on the pounds.

One Threads user asked, “Is he having trouble with coordination, or has he gained so much weight his jacket doesn’t fit anymore?”

Another user cracked, “Why can’t he button his giant jacket?”

Eagle-eyed viewers zoomed in for a closer look at Trump’s attire. One curious person asked, “Is he wearing a polo with a blazer? Fuggin ew!” to which another replied, “He has to cover up his roll of flubber.”

Over on X, the mockery continued. Many pointed to Trump’s wardrobe and his mannerisms, noting he was “Unable to do his jacket up and slapping his thigh again.”

The tapping has become his signature move to get himself a boost of energy after a flight. But the jacket struggle lands just days after another strange image of Trump began making the waves online.

Trump was captured in a still shot taken during an Aug. 14 appearance at the Nassau County Police Training Center in Garden City, New York. He stood onstage alongside Fox News reporter Alexis McAdams in the photo that seemed unremarkable at first glance.

Social media users quickly zoomed in, circling the lower portion of his back, where his jacket appeared to protrude unusually.

Nobody has established what caused the bulge, and it could be tied to his posture, the cut of the jacket, medical equipment, or something else entirely.

No one has confirmed the cause. His posture, jacket, medical equipment or something else could explain the bulge. That hasn’t stopped the internet from running with theories. Much like last year when a separate bump sparked unfounded claims that Trump wore a device to help his muscles.

The renewed scrutiny comes against a backdrop of real, documented health questions surrounding Trump.

It’s been over a year since the White House confirmed his diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency after doctors observed swelling in his lower legs. The condition can cause blood to pool when veins struggle to return it to the heart.

A physical earlier this year put Trump’s weight at 238 pounds. But from head to toe, the numbers don’t match the visual, as more people have noticed his ill-fitting clothing.

Yet the White House refuses to confirm suspicions that the president is not as healthy as he portrays.

Trump himself added fuel to the speculation when he told The New York Times he “probably should” go on a GLP-1 medication such as Ozempic.

That admission fed into an already strange rumor cycle after a June report described a 79-year-old patient receiving early access to Eli Lilly’s experimental drug retatrutide, prompting sleuths to guess the unnamed patient was Trump (who was that age at that time).

The White House flatly denied the theory, stating plainly that “it wasn’t” Trump. Since then, no evidence has surfaced to confirm that he has taken retatrutide or any other GLP-1 medication.

Between the swollen ankles, the mysterious bulge, and now two failed attempts to button his jacket, it seems every Trump appearance brings more questions than answers.
