The 2026 Ron Massey Memorial Hoops Classic has wrapped. The two-day event, held by Pangos founder Dinos Trigonis, brought over 50 teams under one roof at Long Beach’s McBride High School. The event was an outstanding preview of what Southern California basketball will look like, but also offered many opportunities for players.
Certified for Division I college coaches to attend, the Ron Massey Memorial had coaches and scouts alike lining the baselines to evaluate talent. All games were livestreamed on BallerTV, GameBook Stats had all of the statistical reports ready immediately after the game, and Spalding provided special game balls for the event.
All in all, it was an outstanding celebration of hoops in Coach Massey’s honor.
“Ron Massey was an educator first and a basketball coach second. In fact, he worked the Nike All-American Camp, but it was on the academic side,” Trigonis said of Massey. “He always loved basketball. Learning and education was a constant endeavor for him.”

Will Conroy Jr., 6’0″, PG, Village Christian (Cal.), 2029
Another five-star point guard in the class of 2029, Will Conroy Jr. showed why he’s in the mix for the best point guard in the nation at the Ron Massey. Built like an NFL running back, the son of former NBA lead guard and current USC assistant coach Will Conroy is certainly building his own legacy.
The sophomore showed off great elevation on his jump shot, was able to play through contact once he got into the paint, and was a floor general with the way that he truly controlled the game.
Phil Reed Jr., 6’2″, PG, Belmont Shore, 2029
After running with his high school (Palisades) in another event over the weekend, Phil Reed Jr. picked up some extra work with Belmont Shore at the Ron Massey, dropping 17 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals. The physical two-way guard was great facilitating with his new teammates, changed the game defensively, and maintained his presence as a scoring threat.
Along with Quali Giran and Conroy Jr., Reed forms one of the best triumvirates of young lead guards that Southern California has seen in a while.
Brooklyn Ross, 6’7″, SF, San Bernardino Aquinas (Cal.), 2027
After a slow start on the event’s opening day, Brooklyn Ross bounced back and showed the pure talent that got him ranked in the top 150 nationally (No. 136 on 247 Sports) for the class of 2027.
The well-put-together forward posted smaller defenders, was deadly from mid-range, and was able to attack the baseline with his explosive first step. Having already made an official visit to Cal Baptist, Ross certainly is the type of player who you could see start at a mid-major and end up at a big-time program if he continues to develop.
Noah Zeola, 6’2″, PG, Orange Lutheran (Cal.)/Belmont Shore, 2028
Coming off of an outstanding Pangos All-American Camp in front of NBA scouts in June, Noah Zeola‘s confidence seems to be at new heights, as seen at the Ron Massey.
Developing into more than a shooter, Zeola had a number of creative finishes at the rim and was exceptional at pushing the ball up the floor in a hurry. The 24 points (10-of-18 FG, 3-of-8 3PT) don’t fully show the impact that he had on the game in his two victories on Sunday.
Isaiah Williamson, 6’4″, SG, Mater Dei (Cal.), 2028
Changing the game with his strength, Isaiah Williamson showed why he’s an interesting power guard in the final game at the Pangos Ron Massey. The strong lefty was tough to stop getting downhill, was exceptional rebounding the ball from the backcourt, and guarded four different positions at times.
The 13 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals he posted show exactly why he has early Division I offers in today’s transfer portal era.
Elijah Ricks, 6’7″, PF/C, Long Beach St. Anthony (Cal.), 2028
One of the more physically punishing players at the Ron Massey, Elijah Ricks asserted himself in the paint against Village Christian. The throwback power forward was an elite offensive rebounder, a constant lob threat, and made you play through contact on both ends of the floor. Hearing from a number of Division I programs, Ricks has the strength, athleticism, and motor to contribute with his gritty play at the next level.
