With the NBA back, the NFL in full swing and the WNBA playoffs underway, narrowing October’s top looks down to 10 was a challenge. You’ll see several suits ahead, but some of these casual ensembles look easy to recreate and deserve a mention.
While tailored sets remain a staple of the tunnel, other picks include more relaxed outfits that make a case for everyday style. Scroll on to see who made the cut, and consider the bar raised for November.

Patrick Mahomes made a statement before kickoff, arriving at the Kansas City Chiefs’ NFL matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders in a burgundy and cream pinstripe suit. Designed by Stephen Richards Jr. of Richards Bespoke, the custom three-piece suit featured a patterned tie, dark horsebit loafers and Oakley shades, proving he still knows how to make an entrance.

New team, same commitment to the drip. In his first regular-season game as a 76er, King James stepped out in a dark double-breasted suit, a crisp white shirt and sunglasses. Keeping things classic with a no-tie look and polished footwear, the 41-year-old showed that a team change doesn’t mean style takes a hit.
CeeDee Lamb
CeeDee Lamb may have taken a few notes from Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter era. For the Dallas Cowboys’ home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 8, the All-Pro receiver arrived in a custom Nike look, featuring a fringed brown-and-yellow jacket, a bolo tie, a cowboy hat, a statement belt buckle, and a bright red bag.

DeWanna Bonner put a fresh spin on office attire ahead of the Atlanta Dream’s playoff matchup against the New York Liberty. She paired a crisp white button-down and black tie with tailored shorts, sheer tights and pointed-toe heels, then added a black clutch and gold jewelry to finish a look that means business.
Zaire Franklin
Green Bay Packers linebacker Zaire Franklin went monochromatic for his Week 6 look, and the burgundy leather ensured he stood out. He paired a matching leather jacket and pants with a black shirt, tinted sunglasses and patterned shoes, finishing the look with an oversized “Z” pendant.

A’ja Wilson celebrated her record-breaking fifth WNBA Most Valuable Player award in a bold red, double-breasted Dolce & Gabbana suit. She finished the look with black-rimmed glasses — an outfit only the face of the league could pull off.

Spike Lee clearly had this one saved for a very special occasion. The longtime New York Knicks fan showed up for the team’s opening-night championship celebration at Madison Square Garden in an orange-and-blue pinstriped suit, complete with a matching hat, boots and Knicks backpack.
Jared McCain

Jared McCain kept it neutral for his Oct. 25 pregame arrival, pairing a textured cream-colored Bode cardigan with relaxed white denim trousers from Our Legacy. Orange-tinted sunglasses, a Louis Vuitton monogram crossbody bag and brown square-toe boots add personality to the cream look while still keeping it cohesive.
Jaylen Brown

For NBA opening night, Jaylen Brown wore an oversized black leather jacket with red detailing over a black turtleneck and wide-leg trousers. Mirror-finish silver sneakers, small wraparound sunglasses and a slouchy black leather duffel completed the slightly futuristic look.
Paul Pogba

Soccer star Paul Pogba arrived for the NFL’s first-ever Paris game over the weekend wearing a dark denim jacket with contrasting black sleeves, a black turtleneck and matching denim pants. A newsboy cap and round sunglasses completed the look. While there, the 2018 World Cup winner put his camera skills to work, capturing action between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints.
