President Donald Trump utterly confused himself during a campaign-style speech in ruby red Oklahoma, mixing up key details of his war on Iran.
But it didn’t faze him; even as his speech ran off the rails, he stuck to a nonsensical narrative about his deadly and unapproved war on Tehran.
With just over a month to go before the crucial November midterms, Trump has embarked on a multi-state tour to help drum up support for embattled Republicans. But he’s only visiting red states, in a possible concession that his party has already lost any previous support in blue states.

He travelled to Oklahoma on Thursday, Oct. 1, the first stop of his whirlwind, five-state tour over the next five days.
Speaking to a crowd of the MAGA faithful in Durant, not too far from the Texas border and about 90 miles north of Dallas, Trump completely muddled the details of his own war.
Apparently referring to his and Israel’s Midnight Hammer operation last summer against Iran’s nuclear sites, he said U.S. military strikes also hit “drug factories.” Midnight Hammer was a 12-day assault that targeted Tehran’s nuclear facilities.
“They were refueling up there. We have the greatest tankers; we have the greatest military in the world,” the confused president began, talking about B-2 stealth bombers used in the operation last June.
“They went from Missouri and then at 1 o’clock in the morning with no moon, dark as can be, these unbelievable machines led by the most incredible pilots in the world, they unloaded. Every single bomb went right down air chutes into this uh drug factories really,” Trump surprisingly declared.
“That’s what they were doing. They were nuclear and drug. They were doing drugs, but they were doing the nuclear. But these drug factories slash nuclear factories were hit so hard. Those things, you know, Granite Mountain, granite strong,” Trump continued nonsensically, raising his right arm with a balled fist and punching down as he said, “went right down the air chutes.”
This is the first time Trump has ever mentioned Iran’s nuclear facilities were also “drug factories.” Critics say he confused the Pentagon’s strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean and Pacific over the past 18 months with Operation Midnight Hammer.
Social media erupted around Trump’s confusion, accusing the 80-year-old president of “utter stupidity” and declining mental capabilities.
“He got confused about which war he was talking about. He started talking about Venezuelan drugs, then realized he was talking about Iran,” an X user guessed.
Another wasn’t having any of it. “Pure and utter stupidity! His brain is melting in real time!”
Others chimed in.
“Lol…… they weren’t drug factories. Trump is a senile, brain addled, old piece of sh-t.”
This commenter noted, “He doesn’t even know what he’s saying anymore!! He’s losing it!!!”
It’s impossible to know what Trump was actually referring to. He launched a deadly and unapproved war on Iran on Feb. 28. He spent months insisting his war was about to end. It’s still ongoing more than seven months later.
Now Republicans are trailing in the polls in districts Trump handily won in 2024 as the price of energy soars and Americans struggle with affordability issues.
Trump has spent weeks trying to convince voters his war is ending anytime now. Recently he pivoted to claiming his war on the Islamic Republic will end “right after the election” if not before.
The U.S. is beefing up its military presence in the Middle East, sending the USS Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group and the USS Makin Island Amphibious Group to the region, CBS News reported.
That means the Pentagon will have sent as many as three aircraft carriers to the area with around 20,000 forces.
This as Trump threatened again Thursday to annihilate Iran. “They’ll either sign a very fair deal, or they won’t exist any longer,” he threatened yet again.
