The fall basketball market is becoming saturated across the country. With semi-mandatory “fall high school leagues” being played virtually every weekend after Labor Day, the “off-season” really doesn’t offer much free time to high school players. Most of them have to be selective about what events to attend in order to maximize their opportunities and development while minimizing injury. Playing in team events virtually every weekend, some players needed an opportunity to showcase their talents in a different setting.
Enter the Stellar Hoops Elite 60.
Held recently at Charlotte’s Harding High School, director Wayne Davis puts on two separate one-day, invite-only events just after the school year begins. Focusing largely on underclassmen and players who are flying under the radar, the Elite 60 2026 fall event brought both to the table.
Players such as Michigan State swingman Coen Carr (who shut down the 2023 Ballislife All-American Game dunk contest and game), Timberwolves rookie Isaiah Evans, Top 5 2027 DeMarcus Henry, Miami physical monster Somto Cyril, and Top 10 2027 LJ Smith are just a few to have graced the court at this event before they blew up.
The fall edition was undoubtedly spearheaded by an exceptionally talented group of freshmen. Many haven’t played the first game of their ninth grade year, but have already grabbed D-1 offers. The combination of size and skill for these young prospects took us back a bit, especially when you consider they were playing against some seniors at the event.
Covering the super deep freshman class in detail, here’s a look at six players who will emerge from the 2026 Fall Stellar Hoops Elite 60:

BJ Houston, 6’8, PF/C, Christ School (NC), 2029
A powerful big man, BJ Houston showed why he’s been gaining considerable buzz around his name at the Elite 60. The sophomore showed off solid form on his jumpshot, put his great frame to work in the paint, and impacted the game with his length. Houston can also go to work facing up, explaining why he already holds D-1 offers.
Jarrell Evans, 6’1, PG, Harding HS (NC), 2029
A player I wasn’t familiar with leading into the event, Jarrell Evans was a straight nightmare to guard on 1 on 1 situations at Stellar Hoops. The physical lead guard has some serious wiggle to his game, is constantly in attack mode, and converts his jumper off the dribble at a high rate. Running with Team Durant last year, the Charlotte native showed that he could hold his own in the EYBL.
Ethan Woolard, 6’5, SF, Webb School (TN), 2028
Getting it done inside and out, Ethan Woolard got it done all over the court at the Elite 60. The bouncy forward played with a motor all throughout the event, made plays on both ends with his athleticism, and showed the ability to shoot it from deep when left open. The gritty junior runs with the Tennessee Travelers on the Pro 16, but will be one to watch this high school season in Knoxville.
Gavin Hoffman, 6’3, SG, Cincinnati Turpin (OH), 2028
There wasn’t a better shooter at Stellar Hoops than Gavin Hoffman, a junior who made the journey from Ohio to the event. The junior guard needed very little space to get his shot off, showed quick release, and was perfectly comfortable shooting on the move. Hoffman’s ability to score within the flow of the camp shows how he will be able to make an impact
Jayden Rowe, 6’3, SG, Gray Collegiate (SC), 2027
Next up out of South Carolina power Gray Collegiate is Jayden Rowe, a guard with deep range. He was able to create separation to get to his jumper, shot the ball well with his feet set, and showcased his athleticism in transition. Holding an offer from Norfolk State, Rowe is still wide open with his recruitment.
Corey Roberts, 6’1, PG/SG, Schoolhouse Prep (FL), 2029
One of the best combo guard that the event had to offer, Corey Roberts showed why he already has D-1 offers at the Elite 60. The combo guard showed great burst coming off of ball screens, had a number of creative finishes, and was a threat any time that he had the rock. Running with the Florida Rebels in the EYBL, Roberts already holds an offer from Miami mid-major FIU.
